Chip's Most Popular Cookie Flavours, Ranked

Seven episodes in, we have baked well over thirty distinct flavours — some that stuck around, some that were one-episode specials, and a handful that customers simply will not let us retire. This is a ranking of the flavours that get ordered the most, requested the most, and talked about the most, based on what has actually sold, what keeps coming back by demand, and what our own community tells us on Instagram.

What is Chip Bakehouse's most popular cookie flavour?

Red Velvet. It has been our best-selling flavour since Episode 1 and has never been knocked off the top spot across seven episodes of testing new ideas against it. Crimson cocoa dough, white chocolate chips, and a cloud-soft cream cheese centre — it is the closest thing Chip has to a house style, and it is currently in the Episode 7 lineup.

What are Chip's top 6 most popular cookie flavours?

  1. Red Velvet — best seller since day one, cream cheese centre, in the current Episode 7 lineup. Read the full story on our Red Velvet Cookie page.
  2. Dubai Chocolate — the flavour that "took over your feed": cocoa dough, pistachio cream and toasted kataifi crunch. Currently archived and exclusive to Catering & Events, not in the open Episode 7 drop.
  3. Kinder Bueno — one of our most-loved flavours ever, popular enough that the community asked for it back as a brown butter version. The original is archived (Catering & Events only); the brown butter follow-up, Bueno v2, is in Episode 7.
  4. Dot Cake — "every Aussie birthday party in one cookie," white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles with a cream cheese centre. Back by popular demand in Episode 7 for one final month.
  5. S'mores — the newest name on this list, and already one of Episode 7's most talked-about flavours: toasted marshmallow, graham crumb and dark chocolate, built on our brown butter base.
  6. Matcha White Chocolate — back by demand in Episode 7 after strong repeat requests; earthy matcha dough loaded with white chocolate chips.

Why has Red Velvet stayed on top for seven episodes?

Partly familiarity — red velvet is a flavour most people already have an opinion on before they try ours — and partly the cream cheese centre, which turns a fairly mild, subtly tangy cocoa dough into something genuinely craveable. It is also one of the few flavours we have kept in almost every single episode, which means it has had more chances to become someone's regular order than almost anything else in the catalogue. Consistency compounds.

Which popular flavours are only available through Catering & Events?

Dubai Chocolate and the original Kinder Bueno are both genuine fan favourites that have since entered the Chip Archive — they are no longer part of the open monthly drop, but remain available through our Catering & Events program for larger orders. If a past-episode flavour is not showing as available on the build a box page, that is the reason: our monthly episodes only feature what is in the active lineup, and archived flavours move to Catering & Events rather than staying in general rotation.

📝 Note:This ranking reflects flavours across Chip's full history, not just the current drop. Only Red Velvet, Dot Cake, S'mores, Salted Caramel Ca Phe, Bueno v2 and Matcha White Chocolate are in the live Episode 7 lineup — check the build a box page for exactly what is available to order right now.

Does a popular flavour always come back in a future episode?

Often, but not on a fixed schedule, and sometimes it comes back changed rather than identical. The clearest example is Bueno: the original was one of our most-requested comeback flavours after it archived, but rather than simply re-running the same recipe, we rebuilt it as Bueno v2 on a brown butter base for Episode 7, based directly on what the community was asking for. Genuinely popular flavours tend to resurface — just not always in the exact form they left in.

How do I order the current top flavours?

Everything currently in rotation — Red Velvet, Dot Cake, S'mores, Salted Caramel Ca Phe, Bueno v2 and Matcha White Chocolate — is available now through the build a box page, and can be mixed and matched into a custom six-pack. If a flavour on this list shows as archived, it is not orderable through the regular drop, but larger Catering & Events orders can sometimes accommodate it — get in touch through our events page for that conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What is Chip Bakehouse's best-selling cookie flavour?

Red Velvet — it has been the best seller since Episode 1 and has stayed the top-selling flavour across all seven episodes since. It features a crimson cocoa dough with white chocolate chips and a cream cheese centre, and it is in the current Episode 7 lineup.

What are Chip's most popular cookie flavours of all time?

In rough order of popularity: Red Velvet, Dubai Chocolate, Kinder Bueno, Dot Cake, S'mores and Matcha White Chocolate. Not all are currently in the open drop — Dubai Chocolate and the original Kinder Bueno have entered the Chip Archive and are now Catering & Events exclusives.

Is Dubai Chocolate still available to order from Chip Bakehouse?

Not through the regular monthly drop — Dubai Chocolate has entered the Chip Archive and is currently exclusive to Catering & Events orders. It remains one of the most requested flavours in Chip's history.

Why did Kinder Bueno come back as "Bueno v2" instead of the original recipe?

The original Bueno was a genuine fan favourite, and after it archived, the community specifically asked for a brown butter version rather than a straight repeat. Bueno v2 rebuilds the cookie on Episode 7's brown butter base, finished with the same Kinder Bueno spread and chocolate.

Which popular Chip flavours are in the current Episode 7 lineup?

Red Velvet, Dot Cake, S'mores, Salted Caramel Ca Phe, Bueno v2 and Matcha White Chocolate are all live in Episode 7. Dubai Chocolate and the original Kinder Bueno are archived and available only through Catering & Events.

Do popular flavours always return in a later episode?

Often, but not on a fixed schedule and not always unchanged. Genuinely popular flavours tend to resurface — sometimes exactly as before, and sometimes reworked based on customer feedback, as with Bueno returning as the brown-butter-based Bueno v2 in Episode 7.

How do I find out which flavours are available right now?

The build a box page always reflects the live, current-episode lineup — if a flavour is not listed there, it is not available through the regular monthly drop, though some archived flavours can still be arranged through Catering & Events for larger orders.
